Book Cover Design

Typography is the base of graphic design. Before learning about it I had always thought of it as the dull, uninteresting but still vital part of graphic design. My perception was completely changed. I realised the power of layout, leading, as well as typefaces. One word by itself has the power to convey an emotion, mood, and rhythm.

I must say editing the book pages was not a very enjoyable process for me, however it was quite beneficial to learn different editing techniques on inDesign. My favourite part was making the book cover. As challenging as it was to come up with a book cover design that works with the different short stories of the book, I became aware of my growth and new skills gained as a graphic designer.
